I have a family member who was a founding member of a still prominent motorcycle gang. The real deal guys don’t talk about anything with anyone. They also don’t drink by themselves on Friday nights. Was this guy actually wearing colors? As far as motorccle gangs and journalists , they’ll tolerate them to a certain degree.

I tried watching that show when it hit Netflix because everyone had talked about it, and I like Ron Perlman and Katy Sa gal; but I couldn’t get past the utterly awful treatment of women by the principal characters in the “club.”

People tell me things all the time. I’d sometimes share stories with my now ex and she’d always say “why would they tell you that?” And all I can say is “because people tell me things”. When complete strangers tell me things I usually assume they’re just the type of person who lets it all out to anyone who will listen. Other times people will tell me super personal stuff that extends well beyond what our relationship would normally dictate. It’s actually why I originally wanted to be a therapist. Instead now I work with animals that can’t tell me anything.

Sickeningly, I’m sure you’re right, but that doesn’t mean I want to watch a show that parades the fact in front of my face. There’s appreciating gritty realism, and then there’s “how much mi sogyny and abuse do I really want to consume in entertainment media?”
